Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (D.V.S.A.)

Approved Training Body (minimum requirement)

Firstly we need to mention the D.V.S.A. This is a U.K. government agency that controls who is allowed to deliver training on their behalf. This is done by awarding A.T.B. status (approved training body) to companies, individuals, charities & sometimes "not for profit" organisations. It should be mentioned that anyone can set up an A.T.B. as long as you meet the criteria of a "fit & proper" person and you employ at least one "DVSA assessed" instructor for every 10 "down trained" CBT instructors that you employ.

It is the basic minimum you need to open a motorcycle rider training school in the U.K. As you will have already noted from above, Advanced Riding Techniques not only meet this but provide a much higher level of standard in every area of our business.
